From acoustic bass to electric bass, Piccolo bass to synthesizer bass, Brian brings the art of bass playing to a new level where the bass moves beyond simply being a rhythm instrument and brings it up front to be the lead voice. Brian has toured and performed throughout the world with many of the greatest jazz musicians of our time. He has also released some of the most critically acclaimed instrumental albums in contemporary jazz. Following his Grammy nominated Downright Upright and backed by a killer horn section, Bromberg gets loose and funky throughout the 13 tracks on his latest CD (released in 2009) It Is What It Is, including his unique spin on the B52's dance classic Love Shack.
